Weltwart
In a world in which global responsibilities and international cooperation are becoming increasingly important, more and more young people in Germany want to attend schools or trainings for a voluntary service in the developing countries.  ICYE Nigeria is involved in the implementation of the Weltwarts programme. Weltwarts, which is majorly funded by the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development in Germany, (BMZ) is carried out in collaboration with ICJA (ICYE Germany). Welwarts aim to produce mutual understanding, respect and tolerance. Joint working and learning, knows neither rascism nor exclusion. Weltwarts volunteers learn with others to help disadvantaged people and take responsibility for sustainable development, with openness, joy and curiosity. Weltwart volunteers go out into the world and go back with their wealth of experience into Germany.
